On a cold wintery day in February of this year, we visited a few things in nearby, for the purpose of showing St Louis to a couple who was visiting us from Quebec!
We visited the St Louis arch and old Courthouse, the penguins at the St. Louis Zoo,
and the River Road in Grafton IL.
Our family always has fun going places together. Even on the grey-est of days! :)
As you may know by now, I am fond of ironwork photos!
We'd never been inside this building- the historic courthouse
And of course, the Arch. We did not go up in it- in fact I never have been! It looks rather unsteady, I must say!
In the small museum next to the arch (underground)

We loved all the staircases!
A dizzy view
Beautiful!
And...the penguins at the zoo!
As well as a magnificent eagle! We spotted these eagles while in Grafton IL

Wow! It looks like you guys had a lot of fun! I really like the "reflection" shot.
Thank you, David! :)
Marjo,
We actually HAD been inside the courthouse, that is Valerie, Nikola, and I. We went on a homeschool field trip there YEARS ago. Although the tour was very interesting, I mostly remember Jedidiah S. in his cute blue "English boy's" coat and hat!!! (:
